Who cares about a seamstress’s line of jewelry?
That was the rumors heard through the grapevine back in November of 1932, when Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel better known as Coco would launch her first line of Haute Joaillerie from her Faubourg Saint-Honoré home.
“I want the jewelry to be like a ribbon on a woman’s finger” was one of her statements at the time…
This morning I had the opportunity to see face to face the new Chanel Jewelry Collection, is like a passage throughout Coco’s life; the new line honors all the important symbols that would describe this fashion icon’s personality. The Superstition, Stars, Camellias, Pearls, Ribbons, and the Lion since her zodiac sign was Leo.
“I have chosen diamonds, because they represent the greatest value in the smallest volume”…Coco Chanel
